Volunteer Work
Trinity Episcopal
Escondido, CA
June 2011 to Present
-Responsibilities:
In my volunteer work I took care of homeless people by providing a place to sleep, providing food, and an overall comfortable experience for the people we took care of.
-Accomplishments:
Realizing how many people were actually homeless in my community was a big shock to me. A lot of single mothers and elderly people were hurt by their economy or other tragedies. I helped many people get through long nights, with warm meals. Putting a smile on little children's faces while I entertained them was a great joy to me.
-Skills Used:
I use a lot of people skills for my volunteer work. Knowing how to act and not to act around people who don't have much is very different then from people who have even just a house.
Fraternity House
San Marcos, CA
October 2014 to December 2015
-Responsibilities:
I helped Residents and employees with any of their needs, such as cleaning, cooking, serving food, and storage. My main responsibility was to help the employees move supplies from the shed to the House and set up the supplies for events inside the house.
-Accomplishments:
I was very satisfied to help the residents and employees with all their needs.
-Skills Used:
To know exactly what their needs were I had to use my communication skills to help residents and employees. I had to use my athletic build to lift heavy objects by myself roughly 20 yards away.
Work Experience
Busser/Server
Tenders
San Marcos, CA
June 2013 to August 2013
-Responsibilities:
My responsibilities for this job included serving food (appetizers, the main meal, and refreshments), cleaning tables dishes and silverware, and helping the bar tenders. We had to move quickly and efficiently non-stop so our guests wouldn't be disturbed or upset.
-Accomplishments:
This being my first real job I learned many responsibilities when it comes to taking care of people and that people will get upset at you for doing your job, but remaining calm is a important so that your guests won't get any unhappier.
-Skills Used:
Lifting heavy crates, standing for long periods of time, serving people food and drinks and working with people who are very different from you.
Education
Mission Hills High School -
San Marcos, CA
2011 to 2015 (Currently Enrolled)
Skills
Graphic Design
Additional Information
My lack of work experience is due to the amount of time sports takes up in my life. I have played football for four years, wrestled for two years, and have done track and field for two years. Before High School I was part of a competitive swim team called ICAC (Inland Coastal Aquatics Club). The amount of sports I have done has given me a various set of skills such as, the ability to work hard, an athletic build, and the ability to understand instructions. All my schooling and sports have prepared me for almost any job and I hope you consider me for hire.
